Wireless security cameras capture video and transmit it using either a Wi-Fi or mobile network connection, depending on the camera. Safety Dave offers Wi-Fi and 4G options that allow you to remotely view and monitor your camera from a compatible smartphone or tablet.

Storage costs associated with the app may apply. Recorded footage is stored in the cloud for three days, or footage can be stored using an inserted SD card

Does the wireless security camera connect to Wi-Fi and 4G?

Safety Dave offers separate Wi-Fi and 4G wireless security camera options. The Wi-Fi model requires a stable Wi-Fi network connected to the internet. The 4G model uses a SIM card with a data plan and connects through the 4G mobile network, making it suitable for locations where Wi-Fi isn’t available but there is suitable mobile coverage.

How long does the wireless security camera battery last?

The battery can last up to 180 days, depending on the motion detection settings, what the camera is set to detect, such as people or objects, and how often motion is detected. We recommend adding the optional solar panel to help keep the battery charged. Depending on the conditions and camera usage, this may mean you don’t need to manually recharge the battery.

Can I target specific areas around my caravan for monitoring?

Yes, you can alter the area of detection, the camera will only pick up the area the camera is pointed.

Does the wireless security camera have an alarm, voice function or warning light?

The security camera has an intercom 2 way, siren and a white light and your phone will vibrate and set off an alert when activated.

Can I talk through the wireless security camera?
