Best Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems
Safety Dave’s TPMS is a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System which
can extend tyre life, reduce driving risks and improve fuel efficiency.
How does TPMS work?
Tyres are often neglected or overlooked when it comes to vehicle and caravan maintenance but they are extremely important to the safety of you and your loved ones while on the road. Properly inflated tyres can also extend the life of your tyres and increase fuel efficiency, potentially saving you money. Our TPMS is designed to continually monitor the pressure and temperature of your tyres and alert you if there is an issue.
No matter whether you drive a car, truck, four wheel drive or tow a caravan or trailer, Safety Dave TPMS is an essential product for every road user. The Tyre Pressure Monitoring System can monitor up to 22 tyres via a 3.5 inch LCD screen which can be mounted to your dashboard and give an audible alarm if it detects a sudden change in tyre pressure.
Whether you only drive around the city streets of the city or prefer to get off the beaten track around outback Australia, Safety Dave TPMS gives you peace of mind as you enjoy your travels.
Extend Tyre Life
Under-inflated tyres wear faster than correctly inflated tyres. For example, tyres which are 30% under-inflated will wear up to 45% faster.
Reduce Driving Risks
Under-inflated tyres contribute to accidents by reducing vehicle handling, increasing braking distance and increasing the likelihood of blowouts.
Improve Fuel Efficiency
Save money on your fuel bill by correctly inflating and monitoring your tyres. A 9% drop in tyre pressure increases fuel consumption by around 5%.

Tyre pressure monitoring systems explained
A tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) exists to constantly measure the pressure of your tyres. This way, you know if your tyres are under-inflated or overinflated without having to check, which allows you to take action and return the air in your tyres to the appropriate amount, keeping your tyres healthy.
There are two types of TPMS: Direct and indirect. Direct TPMS means that it uses physical pressure sensors attached to your wheels to directly monitor your tyre pressure. These pressure sensors transmit their readings to the monitor on your dashboard, and that monitor alerts you when your tyre pressure is off.
The benefits of TPMS
Overinflated tyres wear out faster than properly inflated tyres; under-inflated tyres wear out much faster. Having improperly inflated tyres and/or worn down tyres reduces your handling and fuel efficiency and increases your stopping distance. A TPMS helps you avoid these conditions and stay safe while saving money on fuel and replacement tyres.
What to do when you replace a tyre
When you replace a tyre, it’s important to move the tyre sensor from the old tyre to the new one. It’s also important to ensure that your new tyre is properly inflated; it’s not uncommon for spare tyres to lose air after sitting around in storage for a long time. A TPMS helps ensure that your new tyre is doing the job it’s supposed to do.
